Autumn Yard Sale

The Shambhala Meditation Center of Columbus held an autumn yard sale and bake sale at the Chase Road building on Saturday, October 20, 2012. After a deluge in the early morning, the day cleared to bring beautiful sunshine and the possibility of an outdoor sale. It was a delightful experience to spend time meeting our new neighbors and buying each other’s offerings.

All funds from the sale go towards the next phase of building renovations at Chase. This may be the first of two sales. If you want to participate in any way (donate material or baked goods, help sort/ label/stage, etc., help staff the sale, or just hang out), you can contact either Susan ([email protected]) or Janice ([email protected]).

The monthly community meeting followed the yard sale with the usual good eats. After a 6:00PM potluck dinner, our lovely hosts displayed each raffle item and chose the lucky winners of each beautiful set of gifts. Then Gerard Poortinga offered a heart-felt reading transmission (lung) of the newly published Treatise on Enlightened Society by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

Thank you SMCC community for yet another extraordinary evening together.
